How to Promote a Single Folder Using 360Plus

Overview

This article explains the steps to promote a single public folder using 360Plus. This functionality is useful when you want to migrate specific content between SAP BusinessObjects environments without promoting all objects or folders.

Environment

• Version: Applicable to all versions

• BI Solution: SAP BusinessObjects

Steps to Promote a Folder

1. Select the Target Folder

• Navigate to SAP BusinessObjects Resources.

• Locate and select the folder you want to promote.

2. Add the Folder to the Selection Cart

• Right-click on the selected folder.

• Choose Selection Cart > Add to selection.

3. Open the Selection Cart

• Click the Cart icon in the top-right corner of the interface.

• This opens the Manage Selection screen.

• At the bottom, click on Promote Selection.

4. Configure the Promotion Task

• Double-click on Promote Selection to open the Add Task window.

• In the first step:

  • Select the Promotion Type (e.g., CMS).

  • Choose the destination CMS where the folder should be promoted.

5. Set Promotion Options

• Go to the Actions to do tab and select Full Promotion.

• In the Object to Process tab, check the required options related to Public Folder content (e.g., include reports, subfolders, access rights).

6. Execute the Promotion Task

• Click Add Task to save and run the promotion.

• Monitor the task until completion.

• Once done, verify that the folder and its content appear in the destination environment.
