Offline License Update Process

Overview

This article provides instructions for renewing or activating your 360Suite license on a server that does not have an active Internet connection. If your server is offline and your license expires, you may encounter an error message indicating that the license is invalid.



If you are in this situation, follow the steps described in this article to resolve the issue.

Estimated Time: 15 minutes.
Required Permissions: Administration Console access.

Environment

  1. Any 360Suite installation with a server not connected to the Internet.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:
  1. Access to the 360Suite Administration Console.
  2. Your provided License Key string (in the following format: "XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX").
  3. Access to a separate machine (like your own work laptop) that does have Internet access (to transfer files).

Procedure

Follow the steps below to perform an offline activation:

1.  Log in to the Administration Console.
2.  Navigate to the License tab.
3.  Click the "Use the offline activation" label.
   


4.  Paste your license key into the License Keys field.
5.  Download the license request file to your local machine.
6.  Transfer this file to a machine with Internet access.
8.  Upload the request file (ls_activation.req) you downloaded in Step 5.



9.  The portal will process the request and generate a License File. Download this file.
10. Transfer the downloaded license file back to your 360Suite server.
11. In the 360Suite Administration Console, click Upload Your File and select the file you just retrieved (ls_activation.lic).
12. Your license should now be active.

Common Questions

1. Why does my license appear expired even though Wiiisdom extended it?
When a license is renewed on our servers, online environments update automatically via API calls. However, because your production environment is in offline mode, it cannot contact the licensing server to receive the new expiration date automatically. It requires a manual update.

2. How do license duration extension works in offline mode?
Offline environments cannot synchronize automatically. Every time a license is renewed or extended, you must repeat the offline activation procedure listed above to apply the new expiration date locally.

3. How can I prevent service interruptions in the future?
We recommend performing the offline activation process immediately after you receive confirmation of your license renewal, even if the current license has not yet expired. Applying the update in advance ensures a seamless transition and prevents downtime.
